The company and union bargaining parties met again this week in a small subcommittee to discuss your new contract. We continued to exchange and discuss non-economic proposals.
During our discussions this week, the company agreed to withdraw some items from our original proposal dated February 27, 2020. Specifically, the company withdrew its proposals to reduce holiday premiums and proposed to modify the cap on part-time new hire vacations from two weeks to three weeks.
We also incorporated language into our proposal to merge the Meat and Clerks contract. You can view the modified proposal here.
The parties also agreed to pause negotiations to focus on meeting the needs of our customers during the 4th of July holiday.
We have scheduled more meeting dates, including July 7-8. We will continue to keep you up to date on negotiations with regular updates posted on your store communication board, FEED, www.krogerhoustoncba.com and through your store leader. If you have any questions during this process, please talk to your store leader or email email@example.com.
Thank you for all that you are doing to take care of your customers and each other.Return To Front Page
