Houston and Southeast Texas Associates Ratify New Agreement with the Kroger Houston Division

Houston Division New agreement provides more than 11% in wage increases.

Kroger Houston Division associates in the Houston bargaining unit have ratified collective bargaining agreements between the company and the United Food and Commercial Workers Union, Local 455.

Kroger Houston Division will invest more than 8% to 11% in wage increases during the three-year term of this new agreement.

“We are pleased we could reach these agreements to support our Houston and Southeast Texas area retail clerks and meat associates and our company. Under the terms of the new agreements, associates will receive significant pay increases, continued affordable and industry-leading healthcare, and continued investment in their pension fund,” said Laura Gump, president of the Kroger Houston Division. “The new agreements comes after thoughtful and productive work by both the company and the union bargaining committees. We thank our associates for ratifying the agreements and for the excellent service they provide for our customers every day.”

The new collective bargaining agreements cover more than 12,000 associates working at 108 stores in Houston and Southeast Texas.
